The short version
We collect nothing. PassGen creates passwords inside your browser. They are never sent to us, never stored and never seen by anyone but you.
1. Who we are
PassGen (passgen.etariosk.com) is a free password generator made by Etariosk. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short answer: nothing, because we don't receive any.
2. Passwords you generate
Every password and passphrase is generated locally on your device with your browser's built-in Web Crypto API. Generated passwords are:
- never sent over the internet to us or anyone else;
- never saved to any server, database, cookie or browser storage;
- never logged, tracked or analysed.
A password exists only in the page's memory while the tab is open. When you generate a new one, or close the tab, it's gone. When you click "Copy", the password goes to your device's clipboard, which you control.
3. Cookies and local storage
PassGen uses no cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or any other way to store data on your device.
4. Analytics, ads and tracking
There are no analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or third-party scripts on this site. We don't build profiles and we don't sell or share data, because we don't have any.
5. Hosting and server logs
The site's files (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) are delivered by a web hosting provider. Like almost every website, the provider's infrastructure may briefly process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser type and time of request, to deliver the page and protect against abuse. This data never includes your generated passwords. We do not use these logs to identify or track visitors.
6. Third parties
PassGen loads no fonts, scripts or other resources from third-party services. Everything is served from our own domain.
7. Children's privacy
PassGen collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
8. Your rights
Privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. Since PassGen holds no personal data, there is nothing for us to access or delete. You're still welcome to contact us with any questions.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. We'll never change the core promise: your passwords stay on your device.
